Our Purpose

We want to be a G.R.E.A.T. church. Being great, as a church, has nothing to do with a church's size or facilities. Being great has everything to do with fulfilling the purposes that God has for a church. These purposes are expressed throughout the New Testament, and are particularly present in Jesus' speaking of the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

At OSBC, we are committed to being a G.R.E.A.T. church by fulfilling the following five purposes:

G - Glorifying God through worship

R - Reaching the world with the love of Jesus Christ through evangelism

E - Extending a helping hand to our community through service.

A - Authentically caring for one another in fellowship.

T - Teaching one another to be more like Jesus through discipleship.
