The Key

God's Word,
the Bible, has the answer. Why am I here? God made you to love you. God created us to be in fellowship with Him both here on earth and after we die. God says, " I have loved you with an everlasting love." Jeremiah 31:3 People were created to enjoy a personal relationship with God and to experience life the way God intends. Jesus said, " I have come in order that you might have life - life in all its fullness!" John 10:10 So your ultimate purpose in life is to have a right and loving relationship with the God who made you, now, and forever, and experience His joy and blessing. What happens when I die? We will either live forever in God's presence in joy and blessing called heaven or we will face eternity forever separated from Him in a place of judgment called hell. Who decides whether or not you live in a right and loving relationship with God for eternity with all of its joy and blessings? It's your choice. It's not automatic, God will not force you to do anything. God invites you to a relationship with Him and you make the choice while you are still alive here on this earth. The choice is to accept or reject God's Key to a right relationship with Him - Jesus Christ, as your personal Savior. "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 Jesus is the KEY to a right and loving relationship with God that gives you purpose and eternal life. How do you accept Jesus, God's Key to purpose and eternal life? 1. Admit that God has not been first place in your life and ask Him to forgive your sins. 1 John 1:9 2. Believe that Jesus died to pay for your sins and that He rose again and is alive in heaven today. Romans 10:9 3. Accept God's free gift of salvation paid for by Jesus on the cross. Don't try to earn it. Ephesians 2:8-9 4. Invite Jesus to send His Spirit into your life to become the director ("Lord") of your life. John 1:12-13
